RESULTS OF THE ALL-RUSSIAN FORUM OF REHABILITATION TECHNOLOGIES

From April 21 to 23, the three-day All-Russian Forum on Rehabilitation Technologies took place at the Timiryazev Center in Moscow as part of the 10th anniversary International Exhibition of Social Adaptation and Rehabilitation Technologies, Integration. The Roscongress Foundation served as the General Partner of the Forum.

This season’s exhibition and forum exceeded all organizers’ expectations and set new records: more than 150 exhibiting companies from five countries showcased new developments and solutions; over 100 speakers addressed the most pressing issues in rehabilitation and the creation of an accessible environment for people with disabilities; and attendance surpassed 5,000 visitors over the three days of the event.

Dmitry Ligomina, Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Protection of the Russian Federation:

“A distinctive feature of the Integration exhibition is the richness of its agenda. The business programme covers a wide range of aspects of life for people with disabilities — from social protection and sports to inclusive clothing and environmental accessibility. Another important aspect is the participation of international guests and companies, which enables Russian manufacturers to explore foreign technologies, exchange experience with colleagues, and jointly develop the export potential of Russian innovations.”

The extensive programme of the All-Russian Forum on Rehabilitation Technologies focused on a comprehensive review of integrated rehabilitation. Strategic sessions organised by the Roscongress Foundation highlighted the most relevant issues for the expert community. Discussions covered accessibility of education, inclusive employment, and the role of NGOs as a tool for delivering social support. In addition, a job fair was organised to recruit employees with disabilities and special needs. During “Family Day” on the third day of the exhibition, experts addressed the important topic of integrating children with orphanhood experience into foster families, with participation from the team of the charitable foundation “Children Are Waiting“.

Alexander Stuglev, Chairman of the Management Board and CEO of the Roscongress Foundation:

“Integration creates a space for interaction among everyone involved in building equal opportunities, where each participant can speak about their challenges and difficulties, share ideas and achievements, and learn what others are thinking and doing. The events we proposed for the Forum were based on a constructive approach — moving from discussion to concrete solutions. I am confident that the joint efforts of experts, business, NGOs, and government bodies will contribute to improving inclusion mechanisms and their active implementation.”

The Roscongress Foundation and the Agency for Strategic Initiatives presented a stand for the “Open for All“ project, aimed at engaging businesses and NGOs in the inclusion agenda. At the stand, organisations ready to create accessible environments, adapt products and services, and employ and train people with disabilities were able to sign the National Inclusive Agreement.

One of the season’s key topics was the implementation of osseointegration prosthetic technology, which is already being introduced in Russia. Specialists in limb exoprosthetics, together with surgeons, are successfully mastering the technique. Experts from the N.V. Sklifosovsky Research Institute of Emergency Medicine and the company Motorica spoke at the forum about the methodology and presented a patient demonstration. In addition, the Motorica team showcased a digital platform for users of assistive technologies, new developments in bionic hand prosthetics, a collection of adaptive clothing, and more.

The final discussion of the forum was devoted to cybathletics as a driver of the assistive technology industry. The programme not only reflected a broad thematic scope, but also brought together dedicated professionals for whom the Integration exhibition has become one of the platforms stimulating the exchange of knowledge and experience. Participants in the session included Yury Khrabrov, Executive Director of the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation; Vladimir Evpolov, Adviser to the Governor of the Leningrad Region; Andrey Davidyuk, President of the Cyberathletics Federation; and others.

Andrey Davidyuk, President of the Cyberathletics Federation:

“Our session once again highlighted that adaptive sport is a key element of modern rehabilitation. It helps a person not only receive assistive devices, but also learn to use them confidently, regain motivation, and return to an active life. In this sense, cyberathletics serves as a practical tool linking technology with its real-world application. Most importantly, we agreed on the main point: a full cycle is needed — from receiving assistive devices to using them confidently in everyday life. I would like to thank the session participants for a meaningful discussion and the audience for their interest and engagement.”

Partners of the All-Russian Forum on Rehabilitation Technologies included *Accessible Environment* magazine, the All-Russian Society of the Blind, the All-Russian Society of the Deaf, the All-Russian Society of Disabled Persons, the Defenders of the Fatherland Foundation, and the Preodolenie Center. Over the course of three days, speakers discussed key issues related to the development and use of advanced rehabilitation technologies, the expansion of accessible environments, and inclusive practices in education, healthcare, social protection, and employment for people with disabilities.

The 11th season of the international exhibition Integration will take place in April 2027.
